Das Objekt auf den hohen Füßen verliert den Bezug zu einem konkreten Maßstab. Eins zu eins betrachtet ist es eine Wohnkoje, jedenfalls ein benutzbares Möbel, dessen genaue Funktion in der Imagination des Betrachters entsteht. Es bietet Rückzugsmöglichkeiten, Kontemplation und Ausblick.
Verwendet man einen anderen Maßsab, wird das Möbel zu einem Modell für eine futuristische Architektur. Der Ausguck wird zu einer Kuppel, zu einem Observatorium. Die Stufen des Regals werden zu Rängen oder einem Steckmodul für ein Andockmanöver.
Elemente aus Design und Architektur werden ihrer unmittelbaren Funktion beraubt, um sie für neue, noch nicht existierende Funktionen frei zu machen.
Der Raum wird auf ein Minimum reduziert, sei es als Schutzraum für eine Person oder als Raumschiff in der Unendlichkeit des Alls.

The object on the high pedestal loses touch with a concrete measuring scale. If looked at from eye-level, it is a bunk, certainly a usable piece of furniture, whose exact function is defined in the imagination of the spectator. It offers security, a place for contemplation and a view. In another scale the piece of furniture becomes a model of futuristic architecture. The lock-out becomes a cupola and observatory. The steps of the shelf become balconies, or a module for docking.
Elements of design and architecture are cleared of their original function, to liberate them for new, not yet existing functions.
The room is reduced to a minimum, whether as a shelter for a person or as a spaceship in the eternity of outer-space.
